On Saturday, I was fortunate enough to help out Rob Michael Hugel by being an extra in his I Hate Being Single project. The day’s experience could not have been more rewarding. Rob has put together an incredibly talented production team whose professionalism, attention to detail, and high aspirations will undoubtedly reward them with a fine, final film.

I am cautious to reveal exactly what my role was on Saturday or where that role took place because of my respect for the production team and the location hosts.  I will say this: I saw the best of New York City this past weekend. I saw Rob and his team striving for film excellence (and hopefully achieving it—I can’t say, I was an extra). I saw people unabashedly and earnestly pursuing what they love and it was very refreshing.

This is the first of a series of posts about the day I had this previous Saturday and how I saw the whole world in New York City.
